Ms. Ashley Heafner
4th Degree Sr. Black Belt
Level 4 Instructor
Ms. Heafner started Taekwondo in 1998. She achieved her Black Belt in 2001 and her Instructor Certification in 2007. She opened Mt. Pleasant Ninjas in downtown MP in 2009 and then moved the school to its current location in May 2018. Ms. Heafner has been ranked number one in the nation 4 different years.
Mac Romero
3rd Degree Black Belt
Level 4 Instructor
Mac Romero started Taekwondo in 2013. They have competed in and medaled at many tournaments in their career. Mac enjoys photography, singing, and is also a Level 3 Yoga Instructor. They not only teach multiple nights a week but also helps run the NinjaTrix program. In 2021 Mac was voted Instructor of the Year.

Mr. Josh Street
3rd Decided Black Belt
Level 4 Instructor
Mr. Street has been ranked top ten in the nation multiple years and is also active in kickboxing, boxing, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He is a proud husband and father of four. Not only is his wife also a black belt, but three of his children are as well. Mr. Street is currently working towards earning his 3rd Degree Senior Black Belt.
Mr. Jackson Kyle
3rd Degree Sr. Black Belt
Level 4 Instructor
Mr. Kyle started Taekwondo under Ms. Heafner in 2010. He is one of our most active tournament competitors and was also voted "Student of the Year" in 2013 and "Instructor of the Year" in 2018. In December 2021 he graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Campbell University.

Mrs. Stephanie Street
2nd Degree Sr. Black Belt
Level 4 Instructor
Ms. Street started Taekwondo in 2010. She has medals in a multitude of national and regional tournaments and has been ranked Top Ten in the nation multiple years. She homeschools, teaches for MPNinjas, volunteers time with non-profit organizations, and loves gardening. Teaching is her biggest pastime and she really enjoys watching people learn.
Ms. Lacey Kyle
3rd Decided Black Belt
Level 2 Instructor
Ms. Kyle started Taekwondo under Ms. Heafner in 2011. She was MP's youngest student to achieve Black Belt at the age of 7. In 2022 she was ranked Top 3 in the Nation for her division. When not training or competing, Lacey enjoys playing basketball and volleyball for MPHS and is an active member of her church youth group, YCI and Beta Clubs.
Mr. Jacob Childress
2nd Degree Black Belt
Level 2 Instructor
Mr. Childress started Taekwondo under Ms. Heafner in January 2020 and NinjaTrix in August of that same year. Mr. Childress is currently the National Gold Medal Champion in the Male Extreme Forms division. He earned his Instructor Certification in September 2022. He can usually be seen in class practicing either his nunchuck weapon, sword, or bo staff.
Ms. Abby Myers
2nd Degree Black Belt
Level 1 Instructor
Ms. Abby Myers started Taekwondo in February 2019 and NinjaTrix in August 2020. She earned her Instructor Certification in September 2022 and is one of our Little Dragon Program Leaders. Her favorite thing about TKD is being an instructor and learning new forms. She is also a member of our National Demo Team.
Ms. Aelyn Honeycutt
2nd Decided Black Belt
Level 1 Instructor
Ms. Aelyn Honeycutt started Taekwondo under Ms. Heafner in February 2019 and NinjaTrix in August 2020. Aelyn earned her Instructor Certification in September 2022. She is currently the Junior National Gold Medal Champion in Extreme Freestyle Forms. She is also a member of our National Demo Team.
